Have a look at this impressive, highly-detailed Aztec Calendar created by Hugo Neil.
He created this out of 2.5mm acrylic using his Stepcraft-2/840 and a HF-500 Spindle running 18,000 rpm with a Rapid Cut 1/8″ 60 Degree Engraving bit. He held the material down with the stock clamps that come with the Stepcraft machine.
The finish size is 15×15 cm and it took over 2.5 hours to complete.
Hugo also made the stand out the remaining acrylic that he had left over.
He used an old version of Vectric Aspire but tells us that this could have been just as easily done with VCarve.
