In preparation for a local fair, we needed to make some paper signs for things that we are selling. We found some bright orange card stock paper which is perfect and the plan was to print them at 8 1/2 x 11 and use them that way. But I wanted them to be a little fancier so I was looking at Staples and I found some sign paper that had a fancy border cut on them. The problem with these, is that I can not run them through my printer so I am forced to use a magic marker. Since my handwriting is not that great, I really needed to print them. So I had an idea based on seeing some machines that are used for scrapbooking to cut paper. Stepcraft has a Drag Knife Attachment that does the same paper cutting as the scrapbooking machines do and so much more.
In this video I show you how to use Photoshop (or any drawing program) and Vectric Cut 2D to create a printed sign that you can bring to the Stepcraft machine to cut a border on.
